has spent more than 25 years working in pig production across the Netherlands and Germany.
His career began on the farm floor as a farm employee before progressing to farm management roles. Later, he gained valuable experience within the feed and hygiene industry and has worked as an independent pig production consultant since 2017.
Throughout his career, Joep has worked with a wide variety of organizations, from family-owned farms to large multi-site operations managing more than 25,000 sows. He has collaborated closely with veterinary practices, feed companies, and genetics suppliers, helping their customers improve farm performance through practical implementation, workforce development, and knowledge transfer.
Working with both local and international teams, including employees from Europe, Asia, and Africa, revealed a common challenge: valuable knowledge often fails to reach the people who need it most.
That insight became the foundation of PorcusPro.
